Speaker Terms
Last updated: March 13, 2026
By accepting a speaking invitation at UGCon™ 2026 (“the Event”), you agree to these terms, plus the general Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, and Code of Conduct. When we say “we” or “us,” we mean the Event Organizer.
1. This Is Volunteer
There’s no speaking fee or compensation. We may provide complimentary admission, travel help, or other perks, but nothing is guaranteed unless confirmed in writing.
2. Recording & Publication
We may photograph and record your session for internal and archival purposes. However, we will not publish or distribute video or audio footage of your session without your explicit permission.
We may use photos of you speaking and brief quotes from your session to promote UGCon on our website, social media, newsletters, and other marketing materials without additional approval.
If we’d like to publish video or audio of your session — whether clips or the full recording — we’ll reach out to you first and get your written consent.
3. Audience Q&A
Audience questions and participation during your session may be captured in the recording. Attendees are informed of this in the general Terms & Conditions.
4. Your Content
You own your slides, materials, and ideas. Our recording license (Section 2) only covers the captured session itself.
You confirm that your presentation:
- Is your original work, or you have the rights to present it.
- Doesn’t infringe anyone else’s IP.
- Doesn’t contain anything defamatory, obscene, or unlawful.
5. Code of Conduct
You must follow the Code of Conduct at all times — during sessions, panels, and social events. We can cancel your session or remove you if you violate it.
6. Your Likeness
You consent to your name, photo, bio, and likeness being used to promote the Event and future UGCon events — on our website, social media, printed materials, and in post-event marketing.
7. Indemnification
You agree to cover us for any claims arising from your presentation content — IP infringement, defamation, or other third-party claims.
8. Cancellation
If you can’t make it, let us know as soon as possible at hello@makeshiftpartners.com. We may adjust the schedule at any time.
9. Governing Law
Nevada law. Disputes go to state or federal courts in Clark County, Nevada.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. Check the date at the top.
