Code of Conduct

UGCon™ is for everyone. We’re committed to a safe, welcoming, and professional environment regardless of gender, identity, orientation, disability, appearance, race, ethnicity, age, religion, or nationality.
This applies to all attendees, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, and staff at all UGCon venues and events.
Expected Behavior
- Be respectful and considerate.
- Think about how your words and actions affect others.
- Choose collaboration over conflict.
- Welcome newcomers. Make space for different perspectives.
- Respect personal boundaries and space.
- Follow the venue’s rules.
- If you’re feeling sick, stay home.
Unacceptable Behavior
The following will not be tolerated:
- Comments that demean, intimidate, or discriminate against anyone.
- Unwelcome sexual attention, advances, or contact.
- Intimidation, stalking, or following.
- Disrupting talks, panels, or other activities.
- Recording or photographing someone without their consent in private settings.
- Encouraging any of the above.
- Any conduct that would be inappropriate in a professional setting.
Consequences
If you’re asked to stop, stop immediately. Violations may result in:
- A warning.
- Removal from the Event without a refund.
- A ban from future UGCon events.
- A report to law enforcement if warranted.
Reporting
If you experience or witness a violation, please report it as soon as possible. All reports are handled with discretion.
At the Event: Find any staff member (look for staff badges) or go to the registration desk.

Anonymous reports are accepted. We don’t retaliate against good-faith reporters.
Scope
This code covers all UGCon spaces: sessions, workshops, sponsor bays, social events, online channels, and one-on-one interactions in the context of the Event.
